GP salaried locum or associate partnership

Wicksteed Medical Centre is a group general practice located in the city of Wanganui, New Zealand. We provide consultation, chronic health care, and screening and preventive care services to a population of 10,000 patients. Clinical services are currently provided by five associate partners and eight practice nurses. Wicksteed Medical Centre is a member practice of Whanganui Regional Primary Health Organisation, which provides GP support services on site at the practice, including counselling and social work, adult and adolescent mental health liaison nursing, chronic care specialist nurses, e.g. diabetes and specialist pharmacist support.

The practice is committed to supporting the national primary health strategy and is seeking additional clinical support because of the expanding services available to our patients. We are currently seeking to provide extra clinical services through the development of a salaried one-year renewable locum position, with a view to associated partnership if desired.
